Do they even need us anymore???

We got the kids ready to go out this evening, we were heading out to buy Jude a sandbox. Sophie was crying when I put her in her carseat and Jude was whining. Justin and I were walking around in circles after we got them ready, trying to remember what we were forgetting (me: socks, him: I have no idea, probably keys and wallet). And then Sophie stopped crying. And Jude was strangely quiet. I looked over and Jude was dragging Sophie and her carseat towards the door. Probably telling her to get used to it. Reassuring her that it was only a matter of time before he figured out how to drive the car himself.

Big Brother

Sophie is one lucky girl. If there is one thing that is true in this world, it is that Jude loves his baby sister. Last night Jude was up slightly past bedtime, and was definitely getting tired. And cranky. By the time Justin got his bottle ready, Jude was crying like his poor little world was ending. Justin picked him up and leaned him down to say goodnight to me, and I kissed his snotty, teary little face and he kept crying crying crying. Then I held up Sophie and Justin leaned Jude down to kiss her and Jude immediately stopped crying and smiled, gave Sophie a kiss... then as soon as Justin pulled Jude away from Sophie, the wailing started again.

This is the first post on the new blog.

I don't think I'll be updating Jude's blog anymore. If you're looking to learn all about Jude's first year, you can click on that link and check him out there.

If you're looking to learn about Sophie's, stay tuned.

So Jude became a big brother March 10th, 2007 at 4:50 pm. Sophie was a bit smaller than her older brother, weighing only 9lbs, 4 oz. She's also a bit shorter, only 21 inches. Poor little girl.

Jude is a fantastic big brother, by the way. He loves little Sophie girl sooo much.

I'm making this post short, because both little ones are napping right now, and I want to grab a few minutes sleep myself.
